At age of seven, found his love for dance after enrolling in his first dance classes at the Charlotte Klein Dance Centers. He went on to further his dance education at the University of Arizona where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance. Post graduation, Sam went on to apprentice with renowned contemporary jazz company, River North Dance Chicago.
While living in Chicago, he was on faculty at the legendary Gus Giordano Dance School and Extensions Dance Company where he did what he loves most; inspiring younger dancers and passing on his love of dance to future generations. Sam has worked with numerous choreographers including Ann Reinking, Gary Chryst, Leslie Peck and Victoria Simon of the Balanchine Trust, Frank Chaves, Larry Keigwin, Chet Walker, Bill Hastings, Andy Blankenbeuhler, Peggy Hickey to name a few. Sam has worked in film and television including PBS’s Great Performances and The Intern starring Anne Hathaway and Robert de Niro, as well as print work including Hearth magazine and Dance Magazine.
Sam is a national adjudicator for StarQuest Dance and Dance Xplosion. He has worked extensively within the Miss America Organization serving as a talent and production choreographer as well as working on panel in the Miss Massachusetts and Miss Arizona Organizations. Sam choreographed winning routines for many local and state level title holders including Miss Arizona 2013 Piper Stoeckel, where his work was featured on the Miss America stage in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Along with Rachel, Sam co-choreographed the winning routines with Alexis Nevalsky, Miss Dance of New England 2014, and for his little sister Nicole Quinn, Teen Miss Dance of New England 2013. Sam loves sharing his passion of dance with younger generations and is thrilled to be working back at home with his Charlotte Klein Dance Center family.
